Our technologies exclude subjectivity from package testing, and use test methods that conform to ASTM standards. They specialize in offering our customers the entire solution including test method development and packaging inspection equipment validation. PTI installations have been successful in globally transferrable and validated test methods.

The packaging integrity testing methods/techniques available include: 

  • HVLD - For sealed vials and syringes containing liquids. Depending on aplication, our E-Scan  technology can detect leaks down to <1um in size.

  • Vacuum Decay - The VeriPac systems can detect down to sub-micron defect levels depending on model and application.

  • Airborne Ultrasound - the perfect solution for online ( Seal Scan) and batch seal testing (Seal Sensor) of heat sealed pouches to detect folds, tears, delamination and other heatseal defects.

  • Force Decay - systems utilise vacuum decay as well as pressure sensors to detect force changes within the packaging system

  • Helium Leak Detection - Our Leak Detection Associates (LDS) SIMS Helium leak testing systemis used in some cases where vacuum decay is not as sensitive as desired due to headspace within the container.

  • Volumetric Imaging - Utilising 3D imaging, our UVB OptiPac can check blister packs for defects less than 5um in size.
